Sunrise at Surfside Beach, S.C.

Photos and Text by John Myers, Internet Photojournalist

Bird on beach horizontal Or perhaps you have a horizontal space on your den wall that needs a beautiful scene to brighten your day.

Here's the same bird, still hopping around in the surf, looking for a morsel for breakfast.

The light is changing quickly now, growing brighter as the sun climbs, and the colors reflected on the wet beach are more vivid by the moment.

But the sky is not as dramatic as in the previous shot. The "magic" changes in seconds at sunrise.

My best advice is be there and keep shooting until the magic is over.
