Sunrises and Sunsets, Near & Far

Here's three more beach photos from near and far, from Southport, NC; Bahrain Island in the Persian Gulf and Bombay, India. I've always been fascinated by the magic that occurs at sunrise and sunset, and here's three of those "magic moments."

Sunrise at Southport This is a photo I shot on the inland waterway near Southport, NC.

It was right after sunrise one morning. I was visiting my younger brother, James Myers, when I got up to see the sunrise, but the magic didn't occur until a few minutes later.

The soft light of this scene isn't as dramatic as the Surfside Beach series, much more delicate and pearly than the rich golden and pink hues of the South Carolina sunrise.

Yet there's beauty here that touches my very soul with the promise of a new day on God's beautiful earth.

People who don't get up early in the morning to breathe that clean air before everybody else gets up to share it just don't know what they're missing. It's a time to reflect and just to comment to yourself, "Ain't God good!"
