Then even further afield, here's a sunset I shot in Bombay harbour in the Indian Ocean during a cruise to that locale during my Navy tour 1967-71. As we anchored that day out in the harbour, sailing ships were coming in from their day's work out fishing, and it wasn't hard to imagine
it was hundreds of years earlier, long before the days of iron ships that float in the water and steam along without benefit of sails.
As the sun was setting, one of the fishing boats passed in front of the big, orange ball and I kept shooting until I was fortunate enough to catch the perfect moment, as the sun appears to balance itself right on the tip of the mainmast of one of the sail boats.
When I see scenes like these I feel privileged to capture them through the camera's lens. They make me want to shout out to God's beautiful creation, "Bravo, Bravo! Author, Author!"
