The "PHOTO" in Photojournalism

Chicken Feed Mill at sunset  Now take that same scene, back off for a different angle, break out your longest lens and wait for sunset.

Then wait for just the right moment to snap the shutter, as Ol' Sol slips behind the Candor Water Tower in the western sky, and that ugly old feed mill is right pretty, if I do say so myself.

As the old photographer's saying goes, what a difference a few hours and a different angle makes -- when you're a photojournalist who knows what it takes to create a pleasing image from the ordinary.

And a chicken feed mill is about as ordinary as it gets.
