Fall has fallen
Poem and photo essay by
John Myers, Internet Photojournalist
A photo I took in the fall of 2001 of a pond alongside U.S. 1 near Rockingham, NC, plus some fall leaf color-change photos I took of trees near my home on the 300 block of Deweese Avenue in Rockingham, inspired me to a bit of verse, if you can call it that.

Time and seasons
wait for no man
Fall has fallen,
Winter is here,
And I wonder where
Summer has flown.
Just the other day
Spring had sprung,
And now it's already gone.
No, t'ain't funny a'tall
How time slips away
While life goes rollin' along.
