"Left Behind" Book Series Bible Study

The "Left Behind" series of 12 novels are conceived by Dr. Tim LaHaye

, noted prophecy scholar, minister and educator; and co-written by author Jerry B. Jenkins. The novels are a fictional portrayal of the events predicted in the Bible of the last seven years until the return of Christ in glory. The series begins with "the Rapture," the removal of all believers in Christ just before the beginning of "the Tribulation," seven years when God's wrath and judgments are poured out on an unbelieving world. For a commentary for the 12-week series of Bible studies I conducted for the Left Behind series, I used LaHaye's book "Revelation Unveiled."

The best-selling end-of-time fiction series tells the riveting stories of people who, after the rapture of the church are "left behind" to experience the tribulation and other events prior to Christ's return to Earth. With the prophetic teachings of the Bible as the background, this dynamic apocalyptic fiction has captured the imaginations of millions.

I heartily recommend these books to anyone, believers or nonbelievers -- especially for nonbelievers. The old Ship of Zion is getting ready to sail. Better get on board while you can. You most definitely don't want to be "left behind."
