    TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • 2001 to present: Macromedia Flash 5 and Dreamweaver UltraDev 4 for multimedia and dynamic special effects on websites.
  • 1996 to present: website creation, design and redesign with hand-code HTML and JavaScript skills.
  • 1994 to present: user of Adobe Photoshop, Quark Xpress, Adobe Pagemaker and other Mac and PC DTP and graphics programs.
  • 1997 to 1999: E-Commerce experience with Mercantec Softcart shopping cart program.
  • 1975 to present: writer, photographer, editor, page layout/designer for print and Internet publishing.
  • 1997 to present: experience with Windows NT, 95, 98, 2000 and XP.

  • July 1996 to present, contract independent web developer/designer, Macintosh and PC computer consultant; May 1975 to present, writer, photographer/photojournalist.
  • May 2005 to present, technical writer/photograher for the Aberdeen, NC, industrial plant of Minuteman International/PowerBoss.
  • June 2001 to April 2005, copy editor, reporter, photojournalist for the Richmond County Daily Journal daily newspaper in Rockingham, NC.
  • August 1999 to July 2001, part-time contract instructor at Sandhills Community College, Pinehurst, NC, teaching Web Page Design and two courses I developed for the SCC Continuing Education Department, Web and Print Graphics using Adobe Photoshop 6.0 and ImageReady 3.0, and Writing for Publication.
  • Professional photojournalist, writer-photographer since 1975, published first novel in May 2000, "The Crossland Shootout, Adventures of a Photojournalist" with iUniverse.com, second novel in development.
  • February-October 2000, webmaster/web designer for Internet development company KOZ.com of Durham/Research Triangle Park, NC. Webmaster for SoccerOnline.com, national/international network of 4,000+ youth and adult soccer team, club, league and association web sites.
  • December 1996 to April 1999, catalog and web publisher for Dexter Sport Science of Carthage, NC, international sales and distribution of sports supplements and health nutrients. Launched and developed Internet Website to online shopping with E-Commerce of entire line of 1,300-plus products.     MILITARY:

  • U.S. Navy 1967-71, graduate of U.S. Navy Fire Control Technician Gunnery Radar and Computer "A" School, Bainbridge, Md. Vietnam War service in 1969 aboard USS Mullinnix, DD-944, awarded Meritorious Unit Commendation. Honorable Discharge in 1971 as FTG 2nd Class Petty Officer, E-5.
